Inside Sales

Territories open:  West Coast

We are always looking for talented inside sales professionals, with experience making outbound cold calls to K-12, municipal and commercial markets. We value innovative people who are looking for a challenge and are able to adapt to rapid and continuous change. Your tenacity and charisma will be utilized as you build pipelines, usher opportunities through the sales process and close business using telesales, online webinars, Salesforce.com and social media tools. Major duties include prospecting in defined market segments and defined geographies. You will achieve success by performing the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Building and Maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads
  • Sell in a defined geographic territory and within the K-12, municipal and commercial market
  • Synovia sell complex solutions that require multiple touches and a sales professional who can utilize SPIN selling methodology
  • Ensure that accurate and complete information is maintained in Salesforce.com
  • Work with the Sales Administrator to conduct routine quality checks
  • Facilitate webinar groups
  • Maintain repeatable processes that will enable prospects to learn about our solutions and make a purchase decision without a face-to-face meeting (e.g. create awareness, educate, E-mail content, web content and trials and pilots)

Software Trainer

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop an extensive working knowledge of the Synovia Suite of GPS/AVL Solutions
  • Provide software application training using a variety of delivery methods, primarily using web-based tools
  • Coordinate new customer implementations, providing effective training to maximize use of the software
  • Maintain accuracy of training materials, updating as necessary
  • Utilize exercises to reinforce learning process and assess learning levels
  • Collaborate with various departments to obtain information required to develop new and updated training materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in transportation industry and/or GPS/AVL industry strongly preferred
  • Experience in a web-based training / teaching environment strongly preferred
  • Minimum travel 10 percent (10%) is expected
  • Minimum four (4) years prior related experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer and using web-based applications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Camtasia products preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing and editing skills for curriculum development

Senior Software Developer

 Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement specific solutions that meet immediate business needs while aligning with the organization's long-term data andtechnology strategy.
  • Work directly with business stake-holders to hone business requirements and collaboratively identify viable, cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop all necessary proto-types as needed to demonstrate concept and design.
  • Utilize rapid application development methodologies to implement solutions with high quality and minimal overhead.
  • Serve as a key contributor in building out a service-oriented, real-time-intelligence architecture that will facilitate a new breed of highly-aware, operational applications.
  • Be self-managed, self-motivated and capable of working individually, or in a very small team.
  • Understand how to integrate with existing databases, applications and other sources of customer and transactional intelligence in order to add value to developed applications.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of object-oriented development experience with a strong background in C#
  • Expertise implementing or working with data-intensive processes involving complex SQL and data-access mechanisms
  • Experience with handling high volume real-time data
  • Experience with mobile communications development
  • Experience with developing high-performance network software, TCP/IP, UDP
  • Experience with distributed messaging systems is a plus (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes invoicing of customers per contract terms, timely collection of customer payments and involvement in closing processes and reconciliations. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that transactions are recorded timely and financial statements are prepared accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement specific solutions that meet immediate business needs while aligning with the organization's long-term data andtechnology strategy.
  • Work directly with business stake-holders to hone business requirements and collaboratively identify viable, cost-effective solutions.
  • Invoice customers per contract terms
  • Collection of customer payments in a timely manner
  • Proper recording of sales and property tax liabilities
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliations at month-end
  • Maintaining schedules for annual audit
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
  • Lead or assist with various finance, accounting or other special projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Intermediate experience with Quickbooks Enterprise including inventory
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with financial calculations desirable
  • Analytical and problem solving skills both in a group setting and on an individual basis
