 Responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to the customer service team for hardware related issues

  • May oversee installation projects
  • Resolve customer issues at customer sites
  • Communicate installation status and troubleshooting results with the VP of Operations
  • Train customers to install hardware

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hardware installation in GPS or other related fields
  • Ability to learn our software for testing of installation
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Able to pass criminal background check and drug screen successfully
  • Valid drivers' license

 

Inside Sales

Territories open:  West Coast

We are always looking for talented inside sales professionals, with experience making outbound cold calls to K-12, municipal and commercial markets. We value innovative people who are looking for a challenge and are able to adapt to rapid and continuous change. As a valued employee, you must be flexible and able to meet any challenge that comes your way.

Your tenacity and charisma will be utilized as you build pipelines, usher opportunities through the sales process and close business using telesales, online webinars, Salesforce.com and social media tools. Major duties include prospecting in defined market segments and defined geographies. You will achieve success by performing the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Building and Maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads
  • Sell in a defined geographic territory and within the K-12, municipal and commercial market
  • Synovia sell complex solutions that require multiple touches and a sales professional who can utilize SPIN selling methodology
  • Ensure that accurate and complete information is maintained in Salesforce.com
  • Work with the Sales Administrator to conduct routine quality checks
  • Facilitate webinar groups
  • Maintain repeatable processes that will enable prospects to learn about our solutions and make a purchase decision without a face-to-face meeting (e.g. create awareness, educate, E-mail content, web content and trials and pilots)

  • Complete understanding of Synovia’s order fulfillment process and internal resources- can be acquired through training
  • Thorough understanding of Synovia’s hardware and software modules - can be acquired through training

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Inside Sales Representative making outbound calls for a software company and preferably with GPS/telematics experience
  • Proven record of using of Salesforce.com
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be based in Indianapolis, IN

 

Software Trainer

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop an extensive working knowledge of the Synovia Suite of GPS/AVL Solutions
  • Provide software application training using a variety of delivery methods, primarily using web-based tools
  • Coordinate new customer implementations, providing effective training to maximize use of the software
  • Maintain accuracy of training materials, updating as necessary
  • Utilize exercises to reinforce learning process and assess learning levels
  • Collaborate with various departments to obtain information required to develop new and updated training materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in transportation industry and/or GPS/AVL industry strongly preferred
  • Experience in a web-based training / teaching environment strongly preferred
  • Minimum travel 10 percent (10%) is expected
  • Minimum four (4) years prior related experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer and using web-based applications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Camtasia products preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing and editing skills for curriculum development
  • Excellent presentation and delivery skills that demonstrate sensitivity, insight, creativity and perceptiveness about student understanding and adult learning styles
  • Ability to analyze target audience and to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Assist in the maintenance of company documentation including software user guides, training videos, implementation procedures and other documents, as needed
  • Good understanding of modern software technologies and ability to use new and diverse educational tools
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and interviewing skills
  • Good business acumen and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or French highly desirable
